STATEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
In an effort to provide excellence in
financial education throughout the United States, the Heartland Institute of Financial Education (HIFE), a non-profit
organization, has established the following criteria:
All courses are sponsored and taught through a HIFE-affiliated
college, organization or university. All courses must be taught by instructors
certified through HIFE. Each instructor must be trained by HIFE and
successfully pass an exam to become a CFEd Certified Financial Educator®.
Courses are sponsored by
businesses, associations, groups, and other organizations for the benefit of their employees or associates. Courses are taught on-site at the
organizations' location.
Instructors provide the HIFE workbook text for each
employee in the class. This is a copyrighted program and copyright laws may not be violated.
Self-promotion by instructors during
class is strictly prohibited.
HIFE reserves the right to terminate any instructor who, in the opinion of HIFE, has violated the integrity of the program.
Each Instructor must complete annual
continuing education relative to subject matter of the courses taught.
