| INSTRUCTORS CERTIFICATION
The certification of instructors is
critical to the quality and integrity of the financial educational process.
The Governing Board of the Heartland Institute of Financial Education has established the following criteria as required expectations for
CFEd applicants:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING Completion of a detailed training program,
for educational financial planning educational courses is required.
EXAMINATION Successful completion of a comprehensive examination, which details each specific
area of financial planning is mandatory. Areas relative to goal planning, cash flow planning, risk management planning,
debt management, investment planning, retirement planning,
income tax planning and estate planning, as well as working with adult
learners, are covered in the exam.
EXPERIENCE A minimum of
three years experience in the Financial Services Industry or a related field is
obligatory.
Registry Only:
EXPERT SUPERVISION Initial work and supervision with an existing Certified Financial Educator,
if admitted to the Registry,
to ensure acceptable competency is required.
